Gaurav Khurana, a PhD research scholar and an associate professor at JCDM College of Pharmacy in Sirsa, Haryana has made several contributions to the field of health and wellness. He is known for his inventions like a tea tablet, mosquito repellant, and currency sanitizer. Gaurav strongly believes that teachers must continue to innovate and serve as role models for students.

With over 15 years of experience, Gaurav has been associated with multiple inventions. Presently, he is working as an Associate Professor at JCDM College of Pharmacy, Sirsa, Haryana. He has also worked on several research projects including the Design and Evaluation of Luliconazole loaded drug delivery system for the treatment of fungal infection.

Tea Tablet For Chai Lovers
Gaurav has prepared a tablet that can prepare one of the world’s most popular beverages, tea, in hot water in 20 seconds. The ingredients of the tablet mainly include tea leaf powder, milk powder, sugar, ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon along with special natural polymers which are capable of giving a proper shape to the tablet. This invention is for those who consume the beverage frequently and prefer to save time. Gaurav also plans to make the tablet available in sugar-free form.

Herbal Mosquito Repellent Refill: An Eco-Friendly Alternative
Gaurav has proposed a herbal solution to the dangerous and toxic mosquito repellents available in the market. Herbs like Neem Oil, Clove Oil, Camphor, Eucalyptus Oil, Tulsi, Giloy, Ginger, Turmeric, Lemon Grass, and Peppermint Oil have been used in his invention. Gaurav believes that his creation will prove to be effective against malaria and dengue. The herbal refill also consists of antifungal and antibacterial properties.

Currency Sanitizer Machine
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gaurav Khurana invented a machine to sanitize currency notes. The machine can also disinfect keys, glasses, pens, paper, fruits and vegetables. Due to the rough texture of the notes, dust, and solid particles accumulate which, in turn, increase the microorganisms. To prevent the spread of infection, he assembled a machine to sanitize the currency using ultraviolet rays and thermal processes.
