Dipti Pandey is the youngest mental health educator at Government Polytechnic College in Thane, Maharashtra. Through her social initiatives, she aims to emphasise the importance of mental health and promote well-being within the student body. Dipti has created a safe space for students to express their emotions and seek help when needed.

Dipti Pandey is deeply committed to guiding her students through their educational journey with empathy, understanding, and a keen awareness of their fear of failure. Over the past 3 years, she has been helping students not only cope with failure but also learn from it and emerge stronger. To achieve the desired goals, Dipti has conducted over 20 seminars and yoga sessions for over 450 students.

Yoga And Art Therapy Sessions To Beat Mental Health Issues
Stressing the importance of students' mental health, Dipti initiated several stress-relief initiatives to battle mental health issues. She incorporated yoga and art therapy sessions to reduce stress among students through physical movement and breathing exercises. Similarly, art therapy sessions aimed at promoting mindfulness where individuals were asked to focus on their thoughts and feelings, fostering greater self-understanding and emotional regulation. Dipti has conducted more than 5 yoga sessions and over 8 art therapy sessions for her students.

Seminars and Workshops After Declaration Of Exam Results
Dipti organised targeted seminars and workshops after the students’ result declaration. A seminar called Marks Doesn't Define a Person was held where students embarked on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Each individual was made aware of their unique talents, passions, and potentials that extend far beyond the confines of a grade point average. Dipti has conducted over 5 seminars aimed to inspire over 80 participants to recognize their inherent value and to embrace the diverse strengths and qualities that make them who they are.

Emphasised Concept Of Duality In Life
Highlighting the importance of following duality in life, Dipti mentioned that for every win, there might be a loss, and for every good, there might be a bad. In her candid sessions with over 80 students, she explained that preparing for success also involves accepting setbacks and failures as part of life's journey. By fostering this understanding, Dipti aimed to equip students with resilience and coping mechanisms to navigate life's challenges with a positive mindset. As an educator, she has also seen students transform their fear and uncertainty into confidence and purpose and considers this as a rewarding aspect of her job.
Dipti Pandey is a finalist for the Best Initiative (Mental Health) award because of her innovative and engaging ways to help students with their mental health concerns. She also understands the common concern of results and marks in a student’s journey and works toward empowering them so that the fear of marks does not affect their mental health.
