Meet Ajay Gupta who launched Hum Honge Kamyab to raise awareness and provide advocacy through education for the specially abled

Ajay Gupta is an educational entrepreneur and is driven by the belief that small changes can lead to significant societal impact. Despite facing 70% physical disability due to polio, with paralysed lower limbs and a paralysed left upper limb, Ajay's journey has been marked by numerous challenges, ranging from mobility constraints to emotional and social hurdles. His experiences underscore the broader issues of accessibility and discrimination faced by specially-abled individuals in India.

To overcome these challenges, Ajay has not only successfully scaled his ventures but has also chosen to address this broader societal issue. He refrains from claiming concessions or privileges and focuses on his strengths. His visionary approach focuses on scaling his business, generating employment opportunities, and creating assets for the society.

Initiatives

In 2018, Ajay founded the Hum Honge Kamyab (HHK) Foundation, not as an NGO but as a social enterprise aiming at raising awareness and providing advocacy through education. The foundation focuses on accessibility needs for the specially-abled, aiming for user-friendly public and private establishments. Ajay actively engages as a speaker, recently organised the Let's KEO (know each other) program—an awareness workshop that featured domain experts to sensitise participants towards inclusivity.

With a presence in 22 states, Ajay's initiatives, including the flagship pre-school chain Bachpan and Academic Heights Public School (AHPS), cater to the educational needs of over 2 lakh children. His commitment extends to providing training for 2000 teachers annually, offering franchise opportunities, and launching cutting-edge teaching and learning tech-tools. The company envisions creating inclusive education tools to reach every corner of the country by 2030.
