“If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it,” said Toni Morrison, one of the most powerful and distinguished writers of our times. Taking inspiration from the aforementioned quote, Divyansha started her writing journey. Her first book is published under the title ‘Elements’ and is available on Amazon.

Her Journey

Being a published author is an achievement that you can associate with someone who has at least completed his schooling, but Divyansha achieved this while being a Class 9 student. Being a bibliophage, Divyansha read myriad fantasy books but never come across a book with two strong female protagonists working together. This urged her to write a fantasy fiction titled Elements: The Lost Medallion. Being a major fan of JK Rowling, Divyansha decided to develop her first book along the lines of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson.

The Plot

The plot of Elements: The Lost Medallion is centred around two 11-year-olds Eclipse and Eliana. The story revolves around both the protagonists living a normal life under the eyes of their protectors, oblivious of their true identity. But, when Eclipse stumbles upon a mysterious letter, things start taking unexpected turns. She starts receiving ominous warnings and cryptic messages from a voice in her head. The voice asks for her help to prevent the impending doomsday. Thereon, the book takes the reader on a journey to discover what this doomsday is. Her book- Elements: The Lost Medallion, is currently available on Amazon India as a Kindle edition.

Divyansha’s remarkable achievement at this age speaks about her purpose and passion, dedication, and hard work. Her success is definitely an inspiration to her fellow students who will love to buy and read the book and may even motivate some to put pen to paper and bring their imagination alive.

Divyansha Kirola is a finalist for Most Promising Literary Talent because… at the young age of fourteen, she has visualized a book series on fantasy fiction, along with maintaining an original plot and storyline. She plans to continue writing other books in the series, keeping the female protagonists in the forefront.
